An online video conferencing tool
Close Global allows you to host meetings on the Internet via web cameras. You may set up the meeting as a host, or join a video conference as an invited guest. If you are the one hosting the conference, then you have control over who does and does not join. If you are a guest, then you need an invitation and permission to join one of the conference rooms from the host of the online meeting.
You need hardware and software
Close Global is the name of the software you need, plus you need their servers to conduct your online meetings, but the software and online services come as part of their video conferencing package. You also need hardware, such as a webcam, speakers and a microphone. Many modern desktop computers already have these components. Plus, there are also numerous mobile devices that allow you to use Close Global too.
Easy to understand and difficult to configure
When you log in to your account, the menu icons and their subcategories are easy to understand. The hardest part is configuring your camera, speakers and microphone. It is difficult be many times the problem lies outside of the software, which means having to go into your computer’s or mobile device’s setting to find the answer. The fact that this tool lets you set up more than one room means that you and your collaborators may conduct separate meetings and you may drop in on each one to see how it is going.
